Paris has some very beautiful doors. I had never seen so many blue doors in one city in my life, or so many colorful and picturesque entryways! You could spend an entire day in Paris just photographing doors!

San Francisco Chinatown

Last weekend we went for a walk in Chinatown. I had really been wanting to take Hugo there because I knew he would love it (and he did!). When we lived in Nob Hill, we could just walk 4 blocks and be there. Now, we could take Bart and then walk a little bit, but I don't want to bring the stroller and I think the entire day trip would be a bit too much for Hugo just walking. So, anyway, we drove there as a family and these are some of the photos I took. I had a great time. It was early in the morning, the light was perfect and I was very happy with the end results!

Big Sur 2015

Last weekend we camped in Big Sur, like we've been doing every year since we moved to California. This time we camped in Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park and checked out that specific area of Big Sur. Here are some photos from the weekend. Enjoy!

Butterflies

Photographing butterflies is just plain fun. They are so colorful and graceful, it's impossible not to love them. Here are a few photos of butterflies from a recent visit to the California Academy of Sciences Biodome.

Forest Fog

We spent the last weekend at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. On our (very early) morning we drove up the mountains and were delighted to see the mountain forests covered by a blanket of fog. It was so magical!

Clancy's Pumpkin Patch 2015

This year, we went back to Clancy's Pumpkin Patch with Hugo to pick out some pumpkins, go on a tractor ride and (for me) to photograph the lovely pumpkins. The visit was a complete success and we came back home with lots of pumpkins, a happy kiddo and lots of cool photos! Here are some pictures from the visit.

Tilden Park Little Farm

This past weekend, we took Hugo to Tilden Park's Little Farm to see some animals. Our first plan was to drive to Petaluma for some apple picking but, because of some time constraints, we ended up driving to Berkeley instead and visiting the farm. The reality is that I mostly wanted to go somewhere where it felt like autumn because there's not much of that happening here in San Francisco.

Tilden Park was such a fun choice, not just for children, but we also had a great time! I can't wait to go back and do some hiking and checking more areas of the park!
