Bear Valley Road Beauty - 2015 Report, Part 2

Here's another post about Bear Valley Road. I took SO many photos that day and, in all honesty, most of them were simply gorgeous! You just can't go wrong photographing such a beautiful place with such rich natural beauty. Between the fields of wildflowers, deer, horses and the rolling hills, I got over 600 shots! Bear Valley Road Wildflowers 2015

This past weekend (March 21, 2015) we drove north to Colusa County to visit Bear Valley Road in the hopes of finding wildflowers. Last year we made the same trip on early April but were disappointed when we didn't find the fields of wildflowers we had hoped for. Fortunately, this winter brought more rain than the previous ones and the flowers were back--some say that 2015 is the best wildflower year California has seen since 2010.

Words can't describe the beauty of this very remote place in Northern California, so here are some photos to give you an idea of what it's like: Horses roaming free, cows grazing, old barns, mountains on both sides, and all of it surrounded by beautiful wildflowers! Enjoy!

Pink Fruit Blossom Trees - Magical Paths

These are, so far, my favorite photos of the pink blossoms I photographed on the last week of February. I love the paths and how they totally pull you in into this magical world of pink, green and brown!

San Francisco Chinatown Red Lanterns

I love SF's Chinatown! It's lively, colorful and, whenever you explore it, you always find some new spot that amazes you! Here are some photos of the iconic Chinese lanterns that adorn some streets in what is the largest Chinatown outside of Asia. Enjoy!

Mustard Seed Flowers in Napa Valley

The Napa and Sonoma Valleys are gorgeous places to visit year-round. During the winter months of January and February, the mustard seed flowers seem to be in full bloom, blanketing the vineyards, turning them into golden fields. Here are some photos I took of the vineyards during a recent trip to Napa.

Spotting Hummingbirds

I love these little birds! When we lived in Santa Barbara, we could see them everywhere, all the time. Here in San Francisco, they come to our feeder, which is super nice. We have always seen them around in the parks and in the surrounding area. It's always fun to see the different kinds of hummingbirds that are out there!

Country Vintage

This past weekend we were to Aptos, CA, enjoying the sunshine and exploring new areas. This first set of photos is from the Airbnb place we stayed at. Our home away from home was nested on top of the mountain and had a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. The scenery was gorgeous! Inside the property, the decor was super cool, full of vintage pieces and artifacts.
