Sunrise in San Francisco

Early every morning, I go for a walk up Mt. Davidson. During winter time, I usually leave before the sun is up and do my walk as it rises up in the sky. The light at this time of the day is just amazing! Sometimes it's clear, sometimes the fog is out covering the city like a blanket. Regardless of the day, that time of the day is always beautiful, peaceful and relaxing.

Lima Sunsets

After 2 weeks in Lima, Peru, I realized I mostly had photos of sunsets, which makes sense given that we spent the bulk of our time down there hanging out at a beach house. During these 2 weeks I just relaxed and took in my surroundings. I didn't go on photo adventures, as I usually do. I simply sat back and waited, everyday, for the sunset. That was my photographic adventure of the day.

I have traveled to a lot of places in the world. In particular, I have made a point of traveling to exotic, remote, tropical, and pristine beaches. However, of all the places I've been to in the world, I have never seen better sunsets than those I've seen in Peru over the years. They are simply breathtaking and picture perfect.

The Beach in Lima, Peru

Next Tuesday I'll be in Lima, Peru. I'm going to be spending the holidays with my family and also celebrating my son's first birthday. I'm super excited about seeing my family and about the fact that we will be staying at a beach house for pretty much our entire visit! I'm really looking forward to the beach, the warmth, the beautifully vivid sunsets and the amazing food!

Raindrops and Flowers

We are finally getting some rain. A big storm is supposed to hit the Bay Area this afternoon/evening and I couldn't be more excited about the possibility of putting an end to this drought!!

Morning at Ocean Beach, San Francisco

It's been raining in the Bay Area and we are all very happy! Taking advantage of a few dry hours in between a 3-day long rainstorm, we headed out to Ocean Beach early in the morning. The beach is such a peaceful place early in the morning. We saw birds; people walking, running and fishing, surfers and lovely colors in the sky signaling the beginning of a new day.

Big Sur Camping

This past weekend we went back to Big Sur to camp. This is the 5th year we've been camping there and this was our son's first time there, as well as his first time camping. He did great!

Because we've been there so many times, we know it well so we know what spots to hit, what hikes to do and where to go. Despite the familiarity, we are always amazing with how beautiful this part of the state is. Every one of our trips to Big Sur are filled with happiness and the best energy in the world. We often say that it is one of our favorite places in the entire world!
