Street Lights

I find street lights to be very picturesque and, as a result, I usually photograph them when I get a chance. Here are some fun photos of street lights from different spots in the world. I hope you like them!

Cable Cars and Christmas Lights

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I love the feeling in the air, the holiday cheer, the carols, everything. I especially love the lights that decorate everything everywhere. To take advantage of the holiday cheer and the lights that come with it, I went down to San Francisco's holiday cheer central: the Union Square area. In the middle of the square there is a gigantic tree, courtesy of Macy's, a skating ring and an infinite amount of lights all around. Farther down on Powell Street, the Cable Car stop is lined with lovely lights. Cable cars AND Christmas lights? Yes, please. Here are some photos of that special spot in the city.

I hope you enjoy these photos. For more fun photos, visit my Etsy store or go to my website.

Vintage Paris

Who doesn't LOVE Paris? I can't think of anyone who has ever visited the City of Lights and said he/she hated it. Paris has a je ne sais quoin that makes people fall in love with it, and I'm no exception. That is why, when learning more about photo overlays and image manipulation, I found myself really favoring photos from my trips to Paris in my experimenting. These are some of the final products I came up with.  There is so much to learn when it comes to creating fine art, and I'm really enjoying the process of teaching myself new techniques to make unique works of art!

I hope you enjoy these photos. For more fun photos, visit my Etsy store or go to my website.

Memories of Tanzania

Lately, I've been going over my photos in order to find some inspiration for projects around the house. In this quest, I found the album containing photos from a trip to Tanzania and I decided to "play" with some of the photos, to try to give them a new life. Here are some personal favorites for that trip down memory lane.

Roman Windows

When you walk around Rome, you see piazzas, churches, basilicas, cafes, etc. If you look up, you also see gorgeous windows full of personality and history.

Golden Gate Park Fog

Last Saturday, we decided to take off and head to the Golden Gate Park. It was a cold and foggy morning in the city. It was one of those mornings people always associate with SF but that we, in reality, very rarely get. By the time we left out apartment in Nob Hill, the fog had already burned here. When we got to the park, most of it was still sitting under thick fog. The closer we walked to the ocean, the foggier it got. It was lovely to see the fog sitting low on the trees, by lakes and groves at the park. I was sure happy to have my camera with me!
